MAOFP's Mentor Program facilitates meaningful one-on-one mentorship opportunities between physicians, residents and students. Each participant may serve as a mentor and/or mentee to best meet their needs and goals. For example, a new physician or resident may wish to mentor a medical student or another resident, or he/she may wish to receive mentorship from a more experienced physician. Program Structure Interested members will complete an application and identify areas of needed support from a mentor and/or knowledge and guidance they would like to share with a mentee. MAOFP staff and leadership will pair members with complementary needs and strengths. MAOFP will hold a virtual kick-off meeting to review the program structure and expectations of participation. Each mentorship pair will determine their own schedule and methods of communication (scheduled calls, in-person or virtual meetings, emails, etc.). It is highly recommended that each pair connect at least once per month. Mentor Benefits
